A pearlware 'Warty Face' Toby jug
typically modelled seated with a foaming jug of ale balanced on one knee, a pipe, held in the other hand resting against the jug, above a base with canted corners, wearing a black tricorn, pink coat, yellow waistcoat and yellow breeches, the base with brown-line border, painter's mark 15 to base -- 9¾in. (24.5cm.) high, circa 1800-20 (restored hat, other minor damages)
