Tasting Note: When the much revered Jean Delmas, the now retired regisseur or director, comments that the '05 vintage is one of the best he has ever experienced (and likened it to his '61), then one must take this high praise indeed. Note the high percentage of Merlot in the blend (56, with Cabernet Sauvignon at 39 and Cabernet Franc 5 Impressively deep, of course; very distinctive and harmonious from the start; sweet, fleshy, soft tannins, in short - glorious.
