"Surprisingly good! Pavie is a particular wine, and this vintage shows it to its best advantage. The fruit character is ripe and lush, with hints of dark figs, sweet oak and molasses, with great concentration held in reserve. The wine is very well balanced and not and not troubled by the overextraction that can plague some years in the opinion of this taster. On the palate the wine is structured with firm but not hard tannins, lots of extract and nice length. At the Annual MW Claret Tasting, November 2010"
