Tibet, 15th century
Seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with his hands in bhumisparsamudra, clad in a diaphanous sanghati, the hems incised with an ornate foliate pattern, the face with benevolent expression with upturned mouth and elongated eyes flanked by pendulous pierced earlobes, the hair in tight curls over the ushnisha and topped with a knop, the base sealed
10 7/8 in. (27.4 cm.) high
