Meiji period (late 19th century), signed Yoshimitsu and sealed Mitsu
Of ovoid form with short neck, decorated in gold and mixed-metal with a phoenix flying against the sun above ivy vines, the body finished with a brownish gold patina with gold flecks, signature on the body
9½in. (24.1cm.) high
