The shallow circular dish decorated over the crackled transparent glaze in polychrome enamels and gilt with a legendary scene of a samurai on a ledge holding a fan before the apparition of the deity Benzaiten and dragon surrounded by dense foliate and brocade borders; signed on interior Sozan and on base in red in two square seals
