AN UNUSUAL MUGHAL WHITE JADE CIRCULAR BOWL
18TH/19TH CENTURY
The thin body of the bowl is finely carved in low relief on the exterior with four leafy stems bearing lotus flowers that rise from a flower head that forms the base. A small five-petalled blossom is carved in high relief in the center of the interior. The translucent stone is of pale greenish-white color.
4 7/16 in. (11.3 cm.) across

Heber Reginald Bishop (1840 - 1902), and thence by descent within the family.
