THREE SMALL WHITE JADE CARVINGS
18TH/19TH CENTURY
One is of pale greenish-white color carved and piereced as a boyish depiction of Lui Hai seated beside a box and holding a lotus stem, in which sits his three-legged toad. The second is of a smiling boy holding a lingzhi branch standing beside a small recumbent ram. The third is finely carved and pierced, depicting two recumbent badgers huan, their heads turned to face one another while grasping a branch of lingzhi in their mouths. The stone is well polished and of even tone with some paler markings.
