GUYUEXUAN (ANCIENT MOON PAVILION) MARK IN GILDING, 1767-1799
The flattened, rounded bottle is well painted in gilding on one side with a mountainous landscape with a figure, possibly Jiang Taigong, fishing along the bank of a river while another figure looks on. A sampan is docked at the shore in the foreground. The reverse is painted with two figures, one fishing, standing on a rocky promontory below an overhanging pine bough and above crashing waves.
2 1/8 in. (5.3 cm.) high, metal stopper
