A PAIR OF BRONZE HARNESS FITTINGS
WESTERN ZHOU DYNASTY (CIRCA 1100-771 BC)
Each is cast in mirror image as a kui dragon shown in profile, with bifurcated tail and lozenge-shaped eye below a curved crest, and with a loop on the reverse. The surface has a silvery-grey patina with areas of malachite and cuprite encrustation.
2 11/16 in. (6.8 cm.) long, wood stands
