KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The globular body is decorated with a scene from the novel, Xi xiang ji (The Romance of the Western Chamber,) depicting Cui Yingying and Hongnian standing on a terrace outside a pavilion with a circular window where Zhang Sheng can be seen playing the qin. The tall neck is decorated with bamboo between diaper borders. An apocryphal Chenghua mark is on the base.
