OF LOUIS XVI STYLE, LATE 19TH CENTURY
Comprising a mantel clock and a pair of four-light candelabra CASE: drum-shape case flanked by oak leaves and a putto reading on a stack of books above a rectangular base with Vitruvian scroll, the green serpentine base mounted with laurel guilloche on toupie feet DIAL: white enamel signed 'E.Sch...oll/.../30 Rue...ine' with pierced and engraved gilt hands MOVEMENT: twin barrels with Brocot escapement and rack striking on bell; winding key; lacking pendulum; the candelabra en suite, modelled with draped putti supporting berried foliate branches with drip pans and nozzles on similarly decorated bases
The clock: 16½ in. (42 cm.) high; 15 in. (38 cm.) wide; 6 in. (16 cm.) deep
The candelabra: 21 in. (54 cm.) high; 5 in. (12.5 cm.) square base (3)
