Each chair upholstered with soumac covers, some staining and loss to the soumac, tassled fringing at the end of both arms, back, and bottom trim, with some loss, each on castor, chairs recently re-upholstered sileh conserved

Lot Essay

Whilst most sileh soumacs consist of alternating ivory and indigo stylised dragons on a red ground, the covering on both of these armchairs uses a more vibrant palette with brighter yellow stylised dragons replacing the more commonly found ivory designs.
