SUPERBES MILLESIMES DE LAFITE-ROTHSCHILD TRES RECEMMENT SORTIS DU CHATEAU
Evoqué par les poètes dès l'Antiquité, connu au Moyen-Age, reconnu dès le XVIIme siècle où il était servi à la table du roi Soleil, classé parmi les Premiers Grand Cru en 1855, acquis par le Baron James de Rothschild en 1868, objet de toutes les convoitises ces dernières anneées, le vin de Lafite semble être l'ambassadeur incontournable des vins de Bordeaux.
Plantés sur 107 hectares à l'extrémité Nord de Pauillac, les cépages se répartissent entre Cabernet Sauvignon (70, Merlot (25, Cabernet Franc (3 et Petit Verdot (2, les vignes ont un âge moyen de 35 ans et atteignent plus de 120 ans pour le plan le plus vieux, appelé "la Gravière".
Apprécié et célébré pour son bouquet onctueux et délicat, Lafite est tout en balance et sans conteste l'un des vins, si ce n'est le vin, le plus élégant.
Conservée au Château jusque très récemment, La collection ici présentée a sans nul doute bénéficié de toutes les attentions.
L'année 82, aux conditions idéales offre un vin profond, parfumé et délicieux. L'année 86, elle, donne un vin plus profond encore avec un nez excellent et très doux. L'année 89 enfin, surenchérit avec un vin chaud, riche avec une superbe concentration et une attaque extraordinaire.

Evoked by the poets of Antiquity, celebrated in the Middle Ages, renowned at the court of the Sun King, classed as a Premier Grand Cru in 1855, acquired by Baron James de Rothschild in 1868, coveted among collectors for years, Lafite has established itself as a vital and indispensable ambassador of Bordeaux.
Planted on 107 hectares at the far north of Pauillac, the grape varieties are divided between Cabernet Sauvignon (70, Merlot (25, Cabernet Franc (3 and Petit Verdot (2, the vines have an average age of 35 years, with the oldest, called "The Gravel Pit", dating back more than 120 years.
Valued and celebrated for its smooth and delicate bouquet, Lafite is well balanced and arguably one of, if not the most elegant wine.
Tended at the Castle until very recently, the collection presented here has undoubtedly benefited from careful attention.
1982 offers ideal conditions for a deep wine, fragrant and delicious. 1986 yielded an even deeper wine with a soft and excellent nose, and 1989 went even further resulting in a warm, rich wine with superb concentration.
