MARK OF ALBARTUS SCHURMAN, LONDON, 1764
Of bombé form, chased with flowers set on fluted vertical bands, the bases with scrolls and rocaille work and later engraved with the twin crests of Sackville-West, on shell and scroll-embellished bracket feet, the hinged covers with a leafy branch finial surmounted by a fly, in silver-mounted shagreen box lined in blue velvet edged with silver braid and retailed by J.W. & F.B. Thomas of New Bond St.
