SECOND HALF OF THE 17TH CENTURY
With tapering double-edged blade of flattened diamond section, iron hilt decorated throughout with silver encrusted decoration including basket-weave pattern to the asymmetrical shell guards, and traces of portrait medallions, cloth-covered wooden grip with remnants of wire binding, urn-shaped pommel, and later iron-mounted leather scabbard; together with A CAUCASIAN YATAGHAN, 19TH CENTURY, with single-edged blade, hilt with carved dark horn grip-scales
