With rebrowned twist barrels signed in full and marked 'WHITWORTH PATENT' on the partially-matt rib, bead fore-sight, rear-sight of four folding leaves graduated to 200 yards and each with platinum-inlaid centre-line, the breech-end of the barrels marked 'PATENT' towards the scroll engraved dolls-head extension, scroll engraved case-hardened action and blued top-lever, the latter signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT', case-hardened scroll engraved signed bolted non-rebounding locks each with dolphin-hammer, well figured 14¼in. (36.2cm.) pistolgrip stock with crab-joint between the stock and fore-end, raised cheek-piece, chequered grip and fore-end, engraved iron mounts including blued trigger-guard engraved with a lion, silver escutcheon, and much original finish to the action and mounts, Birmingham black powder proof, in original fitted leather-covered oak case lined in green baize, the lid with Westley Richards trade label, the exterior stamped with the name 'S.T. COOPER'
