With signed rifled sighted barrel, slanting breech action marked on the upper-tang 'SHARPS PATENT 1848', back-action lock, walnut half-stock, and brass mounts including hinged patchbox-cover (breech-block replaced, iron parts lightly pitted and with a coating of dried oil)
