Mark of Jacques Pars, Appingedam, circa 1691, struck twice with maker's mark only
On spreading foot, the cylindrical sides contemporarily engraved with a coat of arms and inscribed De Hoogh Edele en Eerentfeste H. Heeren Gerechtight tot het Slijtboeck van Leermens 1691 den 2 Apr:, the cover engraved with the figure of Justice, applied with scroll handle and twisted thumbpiece, marked on base
