An American laminated plywood and walnut Cherner Chair armchair
Designed by Norman Cherner (1920-1987) in 1958, produced by Plycraft, third quarter 20th Century
Together with a Finnish caned birch plywood no. 45 armchair, designed by Alvar Aalto (1898-1976) in 1947, probably produced by Korhonen Furniture Factory in Turku for Artek, early 1970s, the underside of both arms impressed 26; and together with a formica, laminated wood, cast iron and chromium-plated metal occasional table, designed by Isamu Noguchi for Knoll, circa 1957, executed circa 1973, with the Knoll fabric label dated 24 April 1973, and with a red label with a house and numbered X 090343 187, the cast-iron base numbered 9490400/87 - 50.5 cm. high x 60.5 cm. diam. (3)
