The bonbonnière with the mark of Francis Boone Thomas & Co, London, 1882; the trowel with maker's mark H&T, Birmingham, 1861
The bonbonnière on four high hoof feet supporting an openworked basket with ram's heads suspending garlands, with blue glass liner, marked on base; and a shaped trowel inscribed Presented to R.S. Ashton, Esq. on the occasion of his laying the Foundation Stone of the New Congregational Chapel Clitheroe. Apri; 18. A.D. 1862., marked on reverse and handle
