A LARGE OTTOMAN GILT-COPPER (TOMBAK) EWER
TURKEY, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Rising from spread foot through bulbous body to waisted cylindrical neck with separate hinged domical lid, the body and neck decorated with two bands of facets terminating in pronounced chevrons framing a central band of variously drawn stars, the lid similarly decorated with one band of facets above a small band of simple stars, some loss of gilding, minor dents
