The high bezel closed-set with a rectangular-cut rock crystal with quatrefoil lobes decorated with black, white and green enamel with engrailed edge simulating claws, the chased shoulders with enamelled arabesques and volutes to a chased foliate hoop with traces of black enamel, circa 1570, centre stone possibly a replacement, probably German, finger size J½
