Surmounted by a campana vase painted with putti playing with a tethered lovebird, the reverse with a landscape, flanked by upright acanthus loop handles with lion-mask terminals suspending rings, set on a plinth suspending ribbon-tied garlands, the clockcase painted with panels of recumbent maidens and attendant putti divided by a cast female mask issuing drapery swags, all raised on tall toupie feet
