A CARVED AND INSCRIBED IVORY HEXAGONAL BRUSH POT, BITONG
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
Three sides of the brush pot are delicately carved with three panels containing floral sprays beside rocks, including chrysanthemum, peony and prunus. The other three sides are decorated with poetic inscriptions complementing the beauty and elegance of the flowers depicted.
