RARE FIRST EDITION: one of only 3 copies known, in fine, original condition. A medical doctor and student of Boerhaave at Leiden, Bracken's Farriery Improved was a best-selling work. Almost as popular was the posthumously-published Ten Minutes Advice, a handy guide to buying a horse to 'guard the unwary from deceptions in the purchase'. ESTC records two copies at Oxford and the Royal Veterinary College. Not in Huth.
