TWO RARE COLLECTIONS OF PORTRAITS OF FAMOUS RUNNING HORSES. ABPC apparently records no other copy of Roberts selling at auction in over 35 years. Parr, first published ca. 1739, is one of the earliest collections of racehorse portraits; prints are typically only found individually or in small groups and complete sets are very rare. Siltzer, p. 375; not in Mellon or Loder.
