The scrolled cresting issuing acanthus leaves and centred by an acanthus-wrapped C-scroll cartouche above a moulded cornice and frieze of crossed palm branches, the shaped rectangular bevelled plate within a panelled surround hung with oak leaf and acorn swags, with an acanthus clasp below and rosettes to the lower corners, the plate apparently original and resilvered, the palm leaf clasp added
