Worked in silver wire and various coloured cloisonné enamels on a dark blue ground with wisteria and tendrils, the neck and foot with foliate lappets and archaic motifs, silver rims, gilt copper liner

Lot Essay

Ota Hyozo (active circa 1860's-1910) was a pupil of Tsukamoto Kaisuke (1828-1897) and opened his own studio in 1864.
