Meiji Period (late 19th century)
The moon shaped vases carved, chiselled and inlaid in silver, copper and gilt with cranes in flight against the moon, herons flying in rain, ducks on a river and a goose flying over snow-covered branches, the sides applied with irregularly shapped copper inlay with a floral design, the neck with archaic style lappets
