Willem Koekkoek (Amsterdam 1839-1895 Nieuwer-Amstel)
Willem was a pupil of his father H. Koekkoek. He specialised in capriccio town views, using elements from historical cities in the same fashion as Cornelis Springer and Adrianus Eversen. Although his town views are architectonical reconstructions they appear as realistic as if painted by the artist from real life.
