Original red cloth upper cover titled in gilt within a black and gilt frame, white moiré endpapers, all edges gilt (skilfully rebacked, endpapers soiled). Provenance: ?Alexander III (label, binding) -- 'Printed in Russia' (small stamp on endpaper) -- Paul M. Fekula.
FIRST EDITION, PROBABLY ALEXANDER'S OWN COPY of this poem written on the occasion of his coronation; later in the Fekula collection. RARE: outside Russia copies only at the State Library in Berlin and at the Royal Library of Sweden (this one apparently without the additional title printed in gold); OCLC locates none in American institutions. Fekula 5696 (this copy).
