The porcelain panel is decorated in a literati style with a mountainous landscape in which a scholar and his attendant ascend a path towards a pavilion, the details of the trees are highlighted in iron-red enamel and the panel is painted with a cleverly-executed border simulating marble, an iron-red seal mark to the lower left corner reads Tao.
