Large 4° (367 x 280mm). PRINTED ON VELLUM. 92 heliogravure plates by Hallet Hyatt, of which 37 hand-coloured and finished with gold, each plate with a printed guard. Contemporary crushed morocco, the sides with strapwork border of on-laid morocco and gilt foliate sprays, the spine gilt in compartments each with foliate sprays within on-laid border, light-brown watered-silk doublures and gilt turn-ins, gilt edges, original cloth box with indented panel, and lined with velvet (silk with short tears, edges very lightly rubbed). Provenance: Sotheby's New York, 09 April 1974, lot 169.
