THEOPHYLACTUS (c.1050-c.1108). Enarrationes in epistolas S. Pauli. Translated from Greek into Latin by Christophorus de Persona (1416-86). Rome: Ulrich Han, 25 January 1477.

FIRST EDITION, printed at the second press at Rome, of commentaries on the Pauline epistles. Theophylact's Biblical commentaries were influential in Biblical exegesis of the 16th century and were a particular source for Erasmus. The work is attributed in the text to Athanasius, an attribution also reflected on the spine title.
