FIRST EDITION of General Berthier's account of one of Napoleon's most significant military victories. FOUR CONTEMPORARY DOCUMENTS BOUND IN comprising: an endorsed autograph letter to Premier Consul Napoleon by General Alex Berthier (14 September 1803) in which Berthier asks for approval to station troops at Rochelle; an endorsed autograph letter written by Savary to le Ministre de la Guerre (7 February 1798) and signed by General Louis Desaix asking the minister to direct the guides to Rouen after they have rested; an 'Ordre du jour' (16 December 1805) referring to the provinces of the Austrian Emperor; and a memorial leaf for General Desaix.
