FIRST SEPARATE EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY INSCRIBED BY STEIN TO JAIME SABARTES, poet and long-time friend and assistant of Pablo Picasso. It is the first correct appearance of this text which had been included, with errors, in the first issue of transition. Elliot Paul, in his mea culpa, notes that the 'correct words' were used but presented 'in the wrong order'. Stein insisted that this offprint should be published to make things right. ABPC records no signed or inscribed copy of this book at auction in over 35 years.
