AN ENGLISH DELFT BLUE AND WHITE TIERED CYLINDRICAL POWDER AND PATCH-BOX AND COVER AND A CIRCULAR SALVER
BOTH CIRCA 1720, THE FIRST PROBABLY LONDON OR BRISTOL, THE SECOND PROBABLY LONDON
The circular powder and patch-box formed from two tiers, the cover with a button finial, painted with flowering branches below lappet or stylised flowerhead borders within blue-line rims, the salver resting on three scroll-moulded bracket-shaped pad feet, painted with a central arrangement of flowers and foliage, the rim with a stiff-leaf border and blue-line rim (cover with chip to rim and flange, salver with chip to rim and one foot)
The powder and patch-box 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) diam., the salver 4¾ in. (12.1 cm.) diam. (2)

A powder and patch-box and cover of the same form from the Longridge Collection was sold in these Rooms on the 25 May 2011, lot 220, and a polychrome salver of the same shape, also from the Longridge Collection, was sold at Christie's South Kensington on 3 November 2011, lot 29.
