A KÜNERSBERG FAYENCE EQUESTRIAN GROUP OF A FARMER AND HIS WIFE
CIRCA 1760
The farmer astride a walking horse, his wife seated side-saddle behind him, the farmer playing a pipe and in a black hat, breeches and shoes, a white jacket, brown braces and an iron-red shirt, his wife in a yellow straw hat, brown bodice and a blue skirt with white dots, carrying a basket over her left arm, the horse supported by a brown tree-stump on a low rectangular base with canted corners (restoration to legs, nose and ears of horse, also to reins, his hat, pipe, right leg and foot, her hat and feet, tree-stump and base, minor glaze flaking)
