Oval and on conforming foot with ovolo border, applied with anthemion band and ovolo rim, the beaded handles with stylised scroll and anthemion terminals, the detachable cover with central reeded oval band and vase and fruiting finial, later engraved with initial 'S' within a garter, marked near rim and on cover, later engraved inside the cover with a scratchweight '140=5'
