Decorated with flowers in pastel shades of pink, blue, green and mauve, at either side a bird's egg blue "D" shaped panel filled with pink flower-heads and dark grey beads, bisected by a purple arc filled with blue cloud motifs and edged with dark turquoise bead borders, gilt interior

Purchased in Russia by John Philip Trant, His Majesty's Consul-General in Moscow, circa 1939/43 and then by descent to the present vendor
