Oval boat shape on pedestal foot, with ribbed loop handles, engraved to front with neo-classical coat of arms, domed covers crested and with ball finials, each engraved with scratch-weight and number in set, No. 1, 22=7 and No.3, 23=0

Specialist note

The arms are for Bennett quartering Leigh, with Horne in pretence for marriage of the Revd. Thomas Leigh Bennett of Thorpe Place, Chertsey, Surrey to Grace Horne. Bennett's father, John Bennett, an eminent Norfolk lawyer, was hanged for high treason in 1722, charged with planning to seize the Tower of London.
