A DOUCAI FLORAL MEDALLION BOWL
YONGZHENG SIX-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN DOUBLE-CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD
The bowl is potted with wide flaring sides, finely enamelled to the exterior with four medallions, each enclosing peony, lotus, chrysanthemum, plum blossoms and associated leaves, and separated by floral scrolls. The interior is decorated with another medallion of two multi-coloured butterflies amongst flowers, encircled by two circles in underglaze-blue.
