A PAIR OF SMALL PALE CELADON JADE 'DEER' SEALS
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
Each rectangular seal is surmounted by a recumbent deer with a lingzhi spray in its mouth. One deer has antlers resembling lingzhi fungus and head facing front, while the other deer turns its head towards the back. The base of one seal is incised with the characters Woyun, and the other seal with four characters Yipian Bingxin. The stones are of a warm yellowish tone with minor milky inclusions.
