FIRST EDITION of the third part containing the Vesalian plate suite. One of the earliest supporters of Vesalius, Platter is credited with performing the first public dissection in Germany in 1557. "The third book contains 50 etched copperplates The etching was done perhaps by Abel Stimmer. The illustrations are chiefly after Vesalius.
