with gilt-metal mounts, of shaped rectangular section, cut with panels painted with topographical views of castles, a convent and a Classical hall, titled in gothic script, the cover cut with slender panels of flowers, the ground gilt allover with a vermicular pattern, the base cut with a diamond pattern, with gilt metal hinged rims, twin handles and four ball feet -- 4¾in. (12.1cm.) high, 19th century (wear)
