Tasting note: Curiously unimpressive in its youth, and variable notes from mid-1980s to mid-1990s, 'lacking finesse and charm'. Yet two very good recent notes. In 2003: harmonious, attractive bouquet', smooth, mature Margaux texture. Good flavour. Dry finish. Most recently (cork pulled 5.15 pm, decanted and tasted 5.30 pm, served at 8.45 pm): good nose; sweet, delicious flavour, touch of astringency. Last tasted Dec 2004 **** just. M.B.
