Lot Essay

These figures of birds were Steven Greenberg's first Art Deco acquisitions. They caught his eye on a visit to the Marché aux Puces in Paris in the 1970s and can be credited as the starting point of his activity as collector of Art Deco, an activity that became a consuming passion.
