Lot Essay

Inspired by the paddle steam riverboat races on the Mississippi River, the race takes place on 26 January, Australia day. Many of the harbour ferries that normally carry commuter passengers throughout the year become garishly decorated for this annual event, in which they race around the harbour. Starting at the Syden Opera House and finishing under the Harbour Bridge.
