The bell top with pinecone finials to all four corners to an arched glazed door with pierced sound frets in corners, the sides with double pierced sound frets, the arched 7 in. gilt-brass dial with scroll and foliate spandrels, silvered chapter ring with gilt matte centre, date aperture and recessed plaque, 'Robt Allam London', with strike/silent ring to arch, the twin gut fusee movement with five knopped pillars, verge and crown wheel escapement and strike to bell, the back plate with scrolled and foliate engraving, on a stepped base with squared feet; with pendulum, winding key
